ZEN PYLON is Dr. Carl Boland - a sound designer, researcher, and musician living in Hikone, Japan. His solo work and collaborations, like Akira Zaiku, are a mix of electroacoustic music, dark ambient, and noise. He makes experimental instruments and likes to work with sounds from open reel tape, radio, modular synths, percussion, and guitars.
